DC has released the character designs for its upcoming Young Justice: Outsiders, revealing the new lineup. This season, the team will consist of Static, Kid Flash, Robin, Wonder Girl, Spoiler, Blue Beetle, Thirteen, Arrowette, Arsenal, and Beast Boy. There’s several things to address here, first of which is Thirteen, whose identity and role in the new season is completely unknown. Additionally, it was revealed that Stephanie Brown (who was featured in a single episode of Season 2 as a kidnapped civilian) has become the heroine Spoiler and the little girl that Green Arrow and Artemis/Tigress saved (again in Season 2) has also become a heroine and taken the name of Arrowette.
Also revealed were the original team of Artemis/Tigress, Nightwing, Aqualad and Superboy in new special ops-like uniforms, a far cry from their bright colored, comic accurate outfits from the first two seasons.
Here’s the description of the upcoming episodes:
In the new season, the team faces its greatest challenge as it takes on meta-human trafficking and the terrifying threat it creates for a society caught in the crossfire of a genetic arms race spanning the globe and the galaxy.
Young Justice: Outsiders will premiere on the new, yet to be branded DC digital streaming service sometime in 2018.
